I just bought a Bamboo Fun Tablet PC input Device Retail for $100.00 at Best BuyI bought it for skinning.It isn't combatable with gimp and that is what I use for skinning so I cant tell you how it benefits in that way but I can tell you that It is fun, useful, and makes your computing experience a 10/10.
In fact I am posting this without even using the keyboard at All!For posting this I am actually using the tablet PC input Panel.I write what I want with the tablet in this panel and it recognizes my handwriting and converts it to text. If you misspell something it will also automatically correct it for you. Alls that is left to don is press insert and the text will be inserted into the text box which in this case is what you are reading right NOW! Your hand writing can look like a kindergartens handwriting and it does a superb job of translating it to text!In the input panels interface there is a place to tap for space, backspace, up, down left shift, and all the other common stuff. you can also bring up an actual keyboard which isn't really needed since you are actually hand writing what you want to be typed into the text box!It even Recognize Cursive! If you make a mistake you can Just scratch it out and it DISSAPEARS!
Another cool thing is you can use windows Journal to do many fun things!with this program you can easily create handwritten Journals, Notes, and even handwrite a message to someone and converter to a text email!
One last program that is useful in windows Vistafor tablet PC users is sticky notes. A fun little program to Jot down reminders, notes, or anything you want with no limits to how many notes you want/ need!
One more utility that I find useful is the snipping tool. This program allows for precise screen capture. you can capture a portion of the screen, the active window on your screen, or the entire screen area! For capturing portions of the screen for have two options, free form selection and rectangular selection. After capturing your desired portion, you can then use your pen to add notes, text, arrows, thought bubbles, etc. This utility is problem the best tool Geer creating screen shots to post in forums, blogs, Etc. for help with Problems.Besides the utilities and programs that came with Vista, there are also many available to download at Microsoft.com. These include...

-Crossword Puzzle (a crossword puzzle that you can do with your pen)
-Desktop Ink -- This program allows for Too to write direction your desktop! FUN!
-Inkseine-an alternative to windows Jornal
-A google search will bring you many results.


Outside of the programs/ features, a tablet also melees navigation much easier, less straining, and Funner!you can use the pen in place of your mouse. Hover the pen over the tablets surface and move it around to move your cursor and touch the pen to the tablet to click. My tablet has more features on top of all this.There are four buttons whic can be configured to perform common tasks including but not limited to....

-Navigate back or forward in explorer windows!
-Activate your switch between windows (in vista)
-show Desktop
-And the is also a Fifth button for coming which can be used to zoom in on your images, and in vista explorer you can use this to change icon size or otherwise known as "View"

Aside from these utilities that come with vista there is also a number of free programs available! Including but not limited to the following

I bought a wacom Bamboo Fun Pen Tablet input device retail from best buy. It works great and is a fun tool to use. The problem is It will not work right in gimp? My cursor is about 40 pixles from the brush? If anyone uses gimp and has a pen input tablet device please help me? I dont know what to do?

I am trying to make a xion skin and everything is going well except for one thing? You know when you right click the interface and that menu comes up well that doesnt happen with mine. I have it saved as .psd and it recognises it but what do I have to do to make that menu pop up. The one that pops up if you click the tray icon with the options to configure xion or choose skin or exit and a bunch of other stuff? It is only showing a menu that says stuff about stop?

Ok I Am makeing a glass skin. I was wondering if I have a glass part added, THat will be default unless the users pc cant handle it? RIght

 

Next How do I get the folders bar back to be glass alon with the favorites section on explorer. This is in vista of course. Thanks.

I lost my bold skin. So to update the skin i had to download it from my site. I went to edit it and Accidently messed it up by importing a image into the wrong section. Or something of that sort. I couldnt find the right image so I uninstall the skin and delete the folder but when I re download the skin from my gallery it still is messed up. How do I get rid of the catch files or whatever so that it dont remeber that?

Icon explor is no in impulse or in stardock cen. Not listed under object desktop. Iti is installed on my pc but if i try to open it it will ask me to activate it. there is no separate serial number in it and under registrations it wil not show?

I really need help on this guys. I have no clue what to do. I have tried everything. Reinstalling my graphoics driver updateing it uninstalling windows blinds and reinstalling many times. MANY TIMES. It is seriously so frustrating. The thing is...

It will work fine for a while.. But when i restart my computer about every other time or every two times.. It wont work. I will start my pc and it will have diamond applied as half of the skin and the rest is the skin that is supposed to be applied? Then I go into the wbconfig and cant appy anything. Double clicking wont work, apply my changes wont work. it simply will not apply anything or even show the splash screen for applying something.

One thing i have noticed that didnt happen before is when i install it.. a windows of ms dos pos up and shows what it is doing. Not long enough for me to catch anything exect a little? It does this when i unistall and when i install. There is nothing else i can figure out. I really hope that someone can help me with this. Without windows blinds how can i make skins? It really sucks. once you start skinning you never go back. LOL Please please help me.

I have been trying to figure out how to do this forever! I know it can be done because there are lots of skins that have it changed. I have been searching thruogh skins and such for a while. I  just dont know how to do it and it is pretty frustrating. I am sorry Wincustomize and everyone that I post so much. I just keep haveing so much trouble. I really feel like I am posting way to much. I will try to tone it down for a while. No I wont try I will. I can just wait till my skin is closer to done and then make one post of a few questions? I had reinstall my windows vista OS and that means i had to reinstall object desktop. I have been working on making a skin. First skin studio 6 wasnt working right. Elements of the skin were not showing up in sks. The previews were not showing. So I uninstalled and then reinstalled it. It worked fine. Now windows blinds is not working very good at all. I started my pc today and the per pixle edges where not working right. It was showing fuzz? I dont know how to explain it. So i though it was my video card. But then i went into windows blinds and tried to apply Aero vista and unload windowblinds to try it again and it just wouldnt work. I couldnt apply anything. So... I restarted my pc. Aero was applied. I dont know what is wrong. Maybie I was doing to much while i installed Object desktop? I was doing scans and was on the internet and geting my pc back up and running? I tried to reinstall Windows Blinds and I think it works okay now. What do i do to make shure everything is installed properly?
